Situated in the Marche region, in Central Italy, facing the Adriatic Sea, this beautiful estate has been in the Degli Azzoni family since the beginning of the 14th century. It spreads on 850 hectares, on the southwest hillside of Montefano, a most picturesque village on top of rolling hills, winding narrow streets, and old stucco buildings. The whole property is agriculturally cultivated with wheat, maize, barley, many other vegetables, and aromatic plants, such as basil (they’re the largest producer in Italy) and parsley. It also counts over100 hectares of vineyards, planted mainly with Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Grechetto, Verdicchio, Lacrima, Maceratino and other international varietals such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc.
The two brothers, Valperto and Filippo Degli Azzoni run their famili’s trusted business with the help of over 50 dedicated workers. We really dig their boxed wines. The brothers understand how important these wines are and do a terrific job maintaining the quality in this format. Their aim is to produce delicious, affordable wines that bring the character and the love of the land to each bottle, well in this case, box. They get our stamp of approval.
