SAN FABIANO CALCINAIA

In the heart of Chianti Classico -

The San Fabiano Calcinaia vineyard is situated in the picturesque hills of the renowned Chianti countryside, with a rich history dating back to 1000 A.D. In 1983, Guido Serio and his wife, Isa, decided to invest in viticulture, bringing together a skilled team of winemakers at the San Fabiano Calcinaia estate. The Serio family has lived and worked on the property for over 40 years, raising their children there.

The estate’s grapes are cultivated in vineyards within the village of Castellina, famous for producing robust, age-worthy wines that stand out in the Chianti region. In recent years, San Fabiano’s wines have received recognition under the Gran Selezione designation, with acclaimed wine critic James Suckling praising them as some of the finest available.

Nestled in the charming town of Castellina in Chianti, the estate features rolling hills and stunning architecture. Known for its rich, traditional Chianti, San Fabiano Calcinaia expertly combines historical roots with a forward-looking approach. Most vineyards are organically certified, and the team is dedicated to producing classic-style Chianti.
