The Gabellini family relocated from inland Romagna to Bertinoro and, in 1962, acquired the land, which included Sangiovese and Albana vineyards, all bush-trained. They always considered wine an essential part of the farming tradition, and serving it on the table meant sharing one’s love and pride in the fruits of one’s labor with guests. Even back then, it was not just refreshments but also a way to unite people and spend quality time together.

They have always believed in organic farming and have practiced it with certification since 1999. No chemical insecticides are used on the crops, preserving public health. The vines enable each vineyard to maintain its natural equilibrium, preserving aromas, vibrant colors, and an enveloping, harmonious atmosphere.

For the Gabellinis, wine is a tradition and passion that permanently binds them to the land. They firmly believe that the history, experience, dedication, and professionalism of the people who work there come together to shape the quality and character of the wines they produce, making them unique.

    Simplicity and agreeability- punto.

This wine was born in 2005 from the idea that it is not always necessary to drink a complex, structured wine but that simplicity and agreeability are perfect characteristics for certain lighthearted or relaxing occasions. It is an easy ruby-red wine with typical cherry berry goodness and flowery notes of spring violets. Dried red beach roses and fruit. This delicious and fresh everyday wine is reliable, like your best friend.

When the time calls for rich and persistent-
    I am here!

This wine perfectly represents la Viola, which is made by harvesting grapes from middle-aged vines. This cru of Sangiovese was the estate’s first production in 1998, and it is the ideal wine for introducing friends to this grape variety. The label depicts “via Colombarone,” which rises from the plains to the hill of Bertinoro, surrounded by vineyards. Il Colombarone is bright ruby-red with violet nuances and intense and expressive aromas of bright cherry fruit supported by elegant violet hints of spice and minerals. Full and rich on the palate, with zestful, juicy fruit; rich and persistent, savory and tasty. Harmonious and well-balanced.
